We are looking for a range of Superintendents for traveling on-site positions.
Assistant Superintendent – Working in a mainly administrative capacity, you would co-ordinate the day to day running of the construction project to support the Lead Superintendent. You would have duties including managing the construction schedule, documentation control, receiving shipments and documenting inventory, reviewing and receiving permits, coordinating and handling all inspections, dealing with store personnel, job site reporting, managing the safety and agency compliance program, badging, recycling program and general site administration. This role will receive full training and is perfect for someone looking for a step up into a lead role from the trades. We work in an open store environment so strong communication skills are very important to this role. Must be highly skilled in managing people and processes in complex stakeholder environments.
Lead Superintendent – This role is ultimately responsible for the overall success of the project – managing the assistant superintendent and all workers, vendors and subcontractors. The role would also include job site reporting, ordering of materials, scheduling subcontractors and directing job site activities, liaison with owners and store management, safety and agency compliance, building to drawings and specifications, overall responsibility for cost and productivity management including maintaining a zero punch environment and no rework. This role would require previous experience of managing a job site and ideally working in an open-store remodel environment. We work in an open store environment so strong communication skills are very important to this role. Must be highly skilled in managing people and processes in complex stakeholder environments.
Working Superintendent – As with the lead superintendent role above, but with the addition of being a working superintendent, with strong carpentry skills and the ability to pick up tools and work on the job site in addition to site management.
